Default What length pushrods will I need?

I am fitting stock 02 LS6 heads, Comp 918 springs, a TR224 cam and 1.7:1 Yella Terra rockers to my LS1. What length pushrods will I need? I believe stock ones are 7.4". What aftermarket pushrods do you recommend?

Use 7.4" unless you have had the heads milled. Comp Cams makes good pushrods.

If you feel like you need to check this then:

--Color in the top of your valvestem with a black felt pen.

--Mock up an intake and exhaust on your valvetrain (make sure that your lifters are pumped up if new.) + adjust as normal.

--Roll the engine over a few times.

--Look to be sure that the wear pattern is in the middle of the valve stem. If not then adjust your pushrod length as approriate to move the wear pattern central.

It's probably not a necessary step in the configuration that you've described...however, it is instructive. sj.
