Problems
This is all i have had problems with since the day i brought it home on Dec 23,2003
Service engine soon light everytime i drive the car. so i take to the place i got it. (If you live in Indianapolis IN i would not recommend PENSKY CHEVY to touch your car at all)
SO at the time i didnt know how to pull codes. I took it there they kept it overnight without giving my husband a rental. So they call me the next day to go get the car.
I drive my happy butt up there for the service manager to go back to get my car i can see in an bay through the window where that cashier is at.
he comes back out and tells us the car WONT start and the mechanic left it unfinished.
Well being me I'm bitchy in the first place that we have one of the most exspencive cars on there lot and they are treating us like poopie.
(Then we meet another guy with a corvette in there that has been having trouble with them too. He told us that he isnt taking there poopie either and he had had his car in there for some work and they had messed it up.)
So they gave us a rental (2004 Silverado) for free since i wouldnt have a car to go to work.
Then we dropped our other car at Circuit city and road in the truck.
So we go to a few bridal places to look at me some dresses (It felt like the touque converter was going out, He thought nothing of it at the time)
Well we go back and get the other car that i was driving and my husband was driving the rental.
We get on to the highway the rental starts blowing black smoke im trying to get my husband to pull over but he keeps going till he gets to a mcdonalds.. he told me the trany blew and everything that was going on after rear end fluid got all over the front of our 2nd car.
Well this monthwe have had the same problem after they changed our computer on board.
Its throwing 7 codes and a colum lock code.
Have any of you had any of these problems?
Im severly pissed as you can tell.
Just going to ANY CHEV dealer will NOT work.
GO to on where you KNOW THEY know C5's...
We took it to another dealer for a 2nd opinion and they told me everything thats wrong and that we needed to take it back to the place that did the comp swap and have them fix it.
It stumbles and throws and shows a service engine soon like and dies on the road at like 65 or 70.
We dropped it off tonight and we are getting it fixed or bringing the lemon law effect in to get a new vehical.
I am officiall going to get all the equitment to fix it our selves. We had to diagnos the problem in the first place.
:auto: :smash:
its all minor..
He'll hook it up to a Tech II, check codes & go from there..
Then road test, check for codes, Tech II, etc..
No biggie.. Computers, programming, sensors can all be changed or reflashed.
Calm down. If you can't find a dealer in your state, send it here to PA, we have Steve Spencer at Bryner Chevrolet, the top CORVETTE ONLY tech in the country as per GM. Flatbed cost should not be too bad to Phila.
Steve will fix you car under warranty if its current.
If I were you, I'd send it here to Steve, or find someone who KNOWS what they're doing out there.
If you can't, then call Bryner Chev 215-886-3140 & get you car in there..
Steve fixes cars from all over the country where people like you just can't get any satisfactory dealer service.
