I have a stock 2000, 6 speed coupe with 42k and the check engine light stays on and doesn't flash. The car seems to run fine. What should I do? The manual says change your gas and take it in if it stays on. Any ideas?
turn on ignition, but dont start
press and hold options
while holding options press fuel button 4 times
Then DIC codes will scroll through....write down any codes and post here!
The check engine light comes on anytime an emissions-related trouble code is thrown. It could be something very minor, like a loose gas cap, or more serious. Finding out what's wrong is the first step.
Follow these instructions on how to access the codes, and report back with all the codes listed, particularily the PCM code(s). We can at least help you identify the problem area.
Once you jot them down, you can then reset the code(s), this will turn the check engine light out. https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1
For the PCM I have p 0410 H C- Air system- B. All the rest of my codes are not "current" except for BCM- B2647. I'll reset my codes in the morning and see what happens. Any other thoughts? :smash:
Had the exact same thing come up yesterday. Hadn't had a chance to look in the manual yet, but I tried what you suggested and came up with the following codes: BO RFA C2105H & 10 PCM P0174H.
Anyone know what these mean??

The RFA code is nothing (RFA stands for remote function accessory) this could be your tire pressure monitor system or your key Fob and since it's a history then don't worry.
The other code has to do with the Long term fuel trim and since it's also a history code I say erase them both and drive the car to see if they come back.
