Parking Brake HELP!!
I'm in the process of replacing the rear rotors for the first time. When I removed the left rotor the retaining spring for the parking brake shoes came out. The spring is shaped like a large A (wiithout the cross bar). After a few hours of fighting with it I have both sides of the "A" hooked back into the clips on the backing plate with the top part of the A inside the brake shoe assembly.
Does the ends of the "A" (the open part) rest against the backing plate or are they suppose to be inside the shoe assembly? Any pictures or help would be greatly appreciated!!!
