Mine came apart when pulling off for the heads/cam swap. So, I couldn't exactly mark the position on the crank. Aftermarket underdrive pulley is not an option.
Fast forward, bought a new balancer, which appears to have less lighteneing holes drilled in the face than my factory pulley. Should I just swap on and let'r go or will there be bad harmonics which may give me extra knock?
You may still be able to tell where the center section of the balancer was relative to the crank (I'm not sure in what manner your original balancer came apart). When the balancer was "snugged" down, the key for the timing chain gear (which is directly behind the balancer) should have left a mark on the back of the hub of the balancer. If you look through the front crank seal in the center of the timing chain cover, you will be able to see the key. Hope this is helpful.
