BTW I have a RAM 910 right now that chatters like crazy.
Before I had a RAM 6130 that chattered like crazy. The clutch stuck to the flywheel and RAM would not even warranty it for me. Their customer service sucked.
My clutch had a little chatter in reverse for a month or so. After that it felt great. Not one bit of chatter now. I am a little scared of it exploding though.
I had minor chatter initially. We, the clutch and I, have gotten better to the point I would say I have no chatter. If you back up at low rpm the grab is noticable.
My previous Z06 clutch was smoother but did not last very long. Ths Carteck is plenty strong for me, but I am not running huge hp.
I never had any luck with my Cartek clutches unfortunately.
I ran the RAM 910 disk for awhile until I think its chatter took out my torque tube. I then sent my disk back to RAM and had them resurface it as a 980 disk, which is the same as the 910 but has organic material on the flywheel side to lessen the chatter. So far it has been working good with barely any chatter. I hope I can get this clutch to last the whole season, unlike all the others I have tried.

I've heard of a few of those myself  It's not SFI rated, so watch out.
The Exedy clutch and flywheel are tested to 15000 RPM and is SFI rated. I bet there's not another clutch for the C5 that can say that!!
I don't think there is a better clutch for the C5 than the Exedy right now
Spec just replaced (warranty?) a Spec3...the first had lots of noise and chatter and for some reason car bucked at rpms under 1500...after install of new Spec3 it is like a different world, no bucking, no noise no chatter...i think something mechanically wrong with original from day one...but Spec honored warrenty and replaced the full flywheel-plate-clutch package.
I am going to wait for a couple more of you to get the Exedy I think.
Their clutch description says to expect some chatter because its a ceramic race clutch. I want to make sure that at least 5 people have it with zero chatter before spending the money.
I have a catek clutch and a chatters but very little. I love the clutch pedal pressure is a little heavier than stock and grabs hard. Seems some people love them and some don't
I also have Cartek clutch.
What exactly do you refer to as chatter?
If I understand this correctly, then it will chatter when I take off at too low of RPM.
It probably also has to do with cam I got in there, but basically you gotta slightly gas the car and the releases the clutch. Hard to describe, but you get used to it fast. If you take off “correctly” I think it doesn’t chatter.
Pedal afford is about twice stock, but I really like that. You get used to that in a few days too btw.
When I get into a car with stock clutch it feels like the clutch would fall apart the first time I hammer it
