It should be set at about .055". Most iridium plugs say not to change the gap because of the fragile nature of the tiny electrode. They should be between .053 and .056" right out of the box though.

i put the plugs in and changed the wires, but now the car seems to idle funny and hesitates when i give it gas, even when i drove it. does the the computer need time to re-learn the plugs and wires or what. i will re-check the wires tomorrow.
