Replaceing Rotors Calipers
Is this a cosmetic change? Are you drag racing? Roadracing or Autocross? Street only? Multi Purpose?
Words of caution - drilled rotors CRACK under heavy use, i.e. road course and autoX. If you are looking at Eradi-Speed, read the fine print. There is a warning stating the Eradi-Speed rotors are not designed for track use.
My 99 is a daily driver that I run at the local road course. I run $25 NAPA standard replacement rotors, stock calipers and Hawk HP+ pads. Also, I installed CRM brake ducts on the fronts. The Hawk HP+ is a nice dula purpose pad, good cold grabbing power and resistant to fade on the track. I've tried the wiz-bang "heavy duty" cryo-treated slotted rotors and they don't last as long as the $25 NAPA rotors. The BIG problem is the stock caliper. The clam-shell design is prone to openening. Mine have done just that. I plan on upgrading to Brembo or the new flow-thru Alcon calipers.

Has anyone had good luck with certian brands.
Also will this effect my ABS system or traction control?

Obviously you will get to traction control quicker if the new calipers place more force on the rotors and lock up quicker.
