Transmission Cable replacement
Anyone ever had to replace the cable from the shifter to the transmission on an A4? The plastic outer portion of mine broke about 8 inches from the shifter end, causing the actual cable part to bow out when attempting to shift from drive back to park. How difficult is it to replace this cable? How much should the part cost?

Update: I replaced the cable today. Took about 2 1/2 hours. Hardest part was unattaching each end of the old cable. Very tight working area on both ends. I attached a string to the old cable, pulled it out the back end, then used the string to pull in the new cable. The cable cost $69.00 plus tax at dealer.
