I was at ARE all day yesterday helping Nick, Ray, Paul and the other ARE guys get everything straightened out. A new plan is being put in place for a big improvement in customer service and how things are run at ARE.
I look forward to being a part of ARE and helping out all I can with Sales, Marketting and New Product Development. I have been involved for the past few years in these areas but now I can do it with renewed confidence and integrity knowing that customers will be treated properly.
If I can be of any help to anyone with product or customer service issues, please feel free to email me.
[QUOTE]Nice to hear from you again, Nick. Best of luck getting everything sorted out and back on track. I'm sure ARE will soon be better than ever.
Gordon Davis
Thanks Gordon and Doug,
I am just posting a reply I made to another post about the recent changes being made :D

With regards to the tunnig we have the programmer that has been doing tunning for us for the past 3 years with Edit still on payroll Why would someone assume that we would not have an experianced tunner on staff unless there are a few white lies out there trying to make certain customers feel very uncomfortable with the recent changes at ARE.
I said this before and I will say it again, We just want the chance to make things right and don't expect trust or respect to come any other way then by earning it.
The changes happening at ARE right now will make for better customer service in a big way. Being honest with timeframes has to be one of the most important things when it comes to customer service, we need another week to get the new structure settled and would be very disapointed to know we failed in delivering what we have said to a customer( I'm sure it will be known on this board if we don't )
There are a few things I can assure everyone of when dealing with ARE from here on in and that is we will be 100% honest on timeframes and delivery dates as well as constant commnication with customers on the staus of thier project big or small.
I know there have been some unfortunate people that were mistreated or got caught in the financial crunch that plagued ARE in the not so distant past. I am not blaming any individual employee for the situation and fell it very disturbing to hear that others were blaming the issues on a single person like me . Bottom line is that things got bad for what ever reason and the bus. was in a spot, the important thing I see here is that we are making changes internally to get out of this spot and never get there again
I just want to assure everyone reading this that we are not going out of bus ( this is a rumor I had heard a few times this week ) and anyone with ongoing jobs at ARE will be taken care of in the most prof. and expediant way.
Thanks for lending an ear
Oh, Todd you can come up and programm anytime for ARE; it's just a short drive over the bridge or through the tunnel

I took a car there 1-1/2 years ago, It was dangerous after the tune, try driving an A4 with a stock convert and the Idle set at 950RPM, paid for the tune and then headed to see John in Decatur. There is more to wrag out about, but why bother, learn from the past and try not to repeat the mistakes, white lies?, well.... you have your opinion and I have mine.
I'm new to posting on these boards, but I've been sitting quietly back and just reading everything that has been going on with this so called new ARE.
I'II give you a little of my history but I don't want to air out all the laundry, I just want to know if other people feel the same way.
As for the tuning / programming with Edit, the only two people that would tune my car for the past three years was Wade who is no longer with ARE, or Barry who is also apparently no longer with ARE, so who is this "programmer" that has been doing tuning for ARE with Edit for the past 3 years???
I think that there will always be two sides to an issue, but I personally feel very uncomfortable with the changes and problems that ARE has had not only in the recent past, but before Nick initially left ARE. If I do recall correctly there was quite a few unhappy people who never got responded to or just had monies taken and jobs never completed properly, or even better, I think I still have copies of people complaining that they never got what Nick promised them back then. How will it be different now that Nick is back...again...
I know that everyone goes through difficult times, and that sometimes changes have to be made, but I have never seen such an unstable company, switching and promising people better this and better that.
Nick also stated that "he would be very disappointed to know ARE failed in delivering what they have said to a customer (I'm sure it will be known on this board if we don't)" I think people are just plan tired of hearing about all the new promises and changes that ARE is making, all I'm trying to state is that I thought Nick had a similar statement back a couple of years ago, and it didn't mean anything then either...
I for one, am crossing the border and taking my C5 where this is some more stability.:flag
I wish ARE the best of luck, but I think ARE should remember that sometimes change is only a temporary solution, and temporary solutions are not very comforting.
I'II be watching the boards quite a bit in the next little while, it will be interesting to see what happens.....
Agostino has always taken really good care of me and my car, and MattG has always answered every one of my millions of questions without ever knowing if I would ever end up getting anything. They did everything right on my h/c and everything went right to plan.
Now that I've plunked down the money for a 422, I know that with Matt taking care of the customers and Nick running the shop, it's going to turn out well, even if it takes a few more weeks to sift through some organizational changes. I know A.R.E will take care of what needs to be taken care of; they've got too much at stake not to.
I look forward to having my car out making big power by the end of April :yesnod:
I'm hearing that lot's of promises are being made again, just as they've been made several times before, I hope that Nick, Paul, Ray and Pete can keep track of all these promises. :nono:
I've scrolled through the boards quite a bit lately and still have not seen any post from ARE stating who this person is that is supposed to have been with ARE for the past 3 years, and how come no one has heard of this guy? If as Nick stated, some people are spreading white lies out there about the tuning, why does no one know of who this tuning person is that you guy's have?? Does he have a name so that people can call and ask specific tuning questions?
I myself am partial to running nos (aka speed juice) in my vette,
Can someone that knows any information please get back to me......still waiting for an answer from ARE :mad
Kevin is the name of the person that works for ARE doing tuning. He is not at the shop all day long, only when there is tuning that needs to be done. He has been doing this for the past three years at ARE and is VERY good at what he does. Lately, he was only being utilized for more difficult tuning jobs. However, once again he will now be doing all of the tuning.
Please let me know any other questions you are waiting for answers on from ARE and I will get them for you.
Well Matt I wish I were closer I could put Kevin to work right now--I am still waiting to finish my tuning so I can post some final numbers--I would love to hear about some FAST intake porting when you guys get time to work on them--I kept the ports on the heads basically stock size since the manifold was only so big anyway--I would like to port the manifold to the max and match the head ports and increase port volumn--I may also rethink the cam when I do this even if I have to go with a solid which I think could be avoided with a little more air flowing--I just think the big cubes should continue to climb to 6500 so you can shift at peak prior to 7K--my motor starts feeling the pinch around 5K and the flow is over at 6K when this thing should still be putting down numbers at 6500--
I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who wanted to inquire about a head and cam package for his 2002 Z06, to his surprise it says on the recording that ARE's phone is disconnected?
Hope this isn't true, I'm going to try calling myself and see.

Hey Musclewithnos,
I have seen Kevin at work in the dyno bay at Agostino's. Wade told me that he is a genius with LS1 edit and very though. He also said as did Mat G., that he is only called in for the tough jobs. He is a great guy, too.
You have only had trouble getting through for an hour my situation was quite a bit longer--they have needed a good PR guy like Matt for some time--Lou deff likes the R&D so I think you will see some interesting things coming out of this--
Guys i was there when the phones were down didnt inter fear with my car gettin finished its all good over there there was so many cranks & custom pistons showing up threw ups someones got some hp comin :chevy
