whats up with LG header problems??
Either way, you cant go wrong with either one.
I would suggest you take the time to call:
Borla Performance Industries
5901 Edison Drive Oxnard CA 93033
1.877.GO.BORLA
1.877.462.6752
Ask them when LG requested a correction of these problem(s) to the manufacturing process and how these headers were designed and when last updated. Then, ask them why they don't include O2 sims with an already overpriced product as well as the right gaskets and bolts.

yes we had called LG, maybe because it was a saturday and late in the day the person who answered the phone was not much help. Lou got us our o2 sims, that we had indeed orded in the package. The air tube was included, but why wasn't it listed in the instructions to remove the manifold is beyond me.
You're WAY off base here...
Mean Green,
Can you say why he is way off base. I can upgrade my Mach1 with H/C, Exhaust ect.. for half the cost that you vette owners have to pay. :D
Does your mach 1 setup come with the nice merge collectors? Open up your summit or jegs catalog and turn to the page with the $350 pair of collectors....ones like those are on the LG system. A $700 mach 1 exhaust setup isnt gonna have those, nor will any $700 complete header/xpipe setup, period.
It looks like Lou is listening to people on the forum. He now has a special pricing on the system. If people like FRC sexi blk (I like the name change) did not voice his opinions on the product. Then the manufactures would not take any actions.
I have not bashed the LG headers or anyone on this forum. After reading the numerous posts about LG headers, I feel Lou has done everything possible to correct any problems.

I installed my FLP Long tubes and high flow CATS this past weekend - what you saw is not uncommon - well most of it anyway.
1 - The air tubes lined up fine - no issue there
2 -FLP did not include cat back or air tube gaskets either(no big deal thanks to many heads up from board members)
3-FLP DID include header gaskets and bolts (way to go)
4-FLP came with the really nice v groove clamps.
5-You may have had terrible directions - the FLP came with NO directions at all - THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who helped with informative posts and pics, especially Black_MAgic and JmX
6-No O2 sims were included or expected here (I have all 4 O2 sensors on right now with the off road pipes, no problem. I MAY edit out the rears with Predator (thanks RWTD)
7- FLP was around the same price, yes they are expensive - but I will say they were show quality just like the LG's! A LOT of work went into the design of these headers - they literally fit like a glove and even though it is a damn tight fit - the only problem was me breaking off the plastic Engine Coolant Temp sensor ($21.95 mistake from Advanced auto) - Not thier fault my ape like hands slipped off the banana

LGM is a sponsor here, and the rules of the forum are clear that if you don't like a price of a Sponsor, or an individual selling something in the classified, Move along. Don't bash their prices, don't tell them they're crazy. Just stop before you reply, then move on.

its reasons like this that people run into poopiety products. I can say what I want when ever I want. NO body tells me to move along. I have the full right to share my oppinon on a product that I buy. I don't give a crap if a vendor sponsers this site. I don't like the price of the LG's, and I think they are a rip off. THat's just what I think. Doesn't mean you have to agree.
He probably throws things and yells when they don't lineup or fit just right. :nopity
The fact is when you modify a car there will always be little unexpected things that crop up, they may be because of poor design (this was not the case here) or just because of fitment of mutiple years or models. :)
Case in point I just installed an electric fuel pressure gauge from Auto Meter, it came w/o the fitting needed to hook it to the fuel rail.
Guess I should have gotten mad and flamed them on this site too
But because I'm a mature adult I went out and found the fitting I needed and am happy with the installation. :D
I have never bought any thing form LGM personally but I do know him from the Corvette Challange days, I built all his gearbox's
He is a standup guy and I would recommend his shop to anyone and anything he sells has a resonable price. :grouphug:
This guy just needs to grow up!!!!!!! :leaving:
One of the biggest reasons I stay away from LTs is experiences I've had on older cars with headers ranging from $100 black jacks to $500 Hookers. They hang low where you don't want anything to hang low.
LGs headers seem to be a top-shelf part from a company run by a pretty helpful bunch of folks.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
In my opinion, you won't find a better constructed / performance header out there and would highly recommend them.
When did you get these -- I wonder if this is this a running improvement due to exhaust leakage ?
If you look under the car from the side, can you see any of the piping?
Sorry about the questions, I'm just debating these right now.
These were installed by LGM along with several other mods last year.
This is the type of high quality craftmanship that Lou and his team at LGM produce on a daily basis.
Great bunch of guys to do business with!

The headers & piping are not visible by looking under the car from the side.
You never see them unless you're actually underneath the car.
1. They didn't come with instructions so I can't say they if they are good or bad.
2. I am doing a Cam swap and while my engine is essentially apart the headers slipped right in and fit like a glove.
Can't wait to get this baby fired up this week

I can remember something about the clamps are configured on the Production Headers in such away that provide plenty of ground clearance. I hope that makes sense.
