As some of you know, I had some heads CNC ported and milled to 55cc combustion chambers. Well early this week I got rid of the high flow cats and boy did it wake up. Full tank of gas and it spins at 45 in second (nitto 555's). I did find a problem, it is detonating between 1500-2300 in 4th gear because of the heavy load 45-60 in overdrive causes 2-9 degrees of knock.
Chris Roberson is helping fix that. He is a good guy. If for some reason he cant keep it from detonating at that spot, I guess 4.10 gears would.
Any suggestions to get rid of the low end knock?
On all the high speed runs, I got 0 knock and 26-27 advance timing. Damn car pulls really hard. I am hoping to get it fixed by this weekend and make a few passes on street tires.
