how high does your clutch release???
mine is getting pretty close to teh top, it has 22k on it now bought the car with 16k on it, never have driven another vette at all so i dont know what the place for engagement is on a new clutch
just need to know so i can plan for if i need a new clutch

It really doesn't mean anything. I've replaced worn out clutches and those with plenty of meat left on the clutch disk, and the pedal engagement position didn't change in either.

The only way I can think you could come up with an adjustable master cylinder setup is to pull the master, cut the pushrod, shorten it by some amount, thread it, and screw on some sort of clevis. Only problem I can see is that most clevises (clevi?) are really designed for use in tension, not compression. There's not too much force though, so it might not be an issue. Another solution would be to use a threaded sleeve instead of a clevis, that would be a lot stiffer but might be a bit more difficult to machine.
1/2" from full disengagement here, or 1/2" from the top. This makes great for shifting, just a quick dip on the clutch and you have shifted. Now launching at the track, is little harder for me with this set-up. I think the clutch is "Floating" and self adjusting, someone verify this please.
Mine engages about 1.5" from the floor. When I was at Bragg-Smith last year they told us on the first day that all C5's seem to be slightly different as far as where the clutch engages, we even had to do an exercise to 'get used to' the car we were going to be driving. The Z06 I had there engaged a good bit higher off of the floor than my car does. Others have posted about this also, from what I can remember there is no way to adjust it other than replacing the clutch, but then it's a crap shoot for where the new one will engage at anyway
