I decided to add an underdrive puley to my HC project... I need to have everything in order for the gentleman turning the wrenches... somewhere I got the notion that some machining may be necessary on the pulley ... I'm also having a dbl row timing chain installed.... any help refreshing my memory?
Re: ASP Pulley Machining Required??? (99SilverC5Coupe)
I did a pulley on my 99 SS... no machining required..... I am doing one on my 99 FRC this weekend, and i am not aware of any machining that needs to be done.
I was hoping this was a simple swap bolt-on ....I think it is only an issue with a dbl roller timing chain and then only in some instances... also got some info that it needs to be balanced? Anybody? is in anything ever simple?
Re: ASP Pulley Machining Required??? (Slammed Vette)
99silverc5coupe,
Hey, I know youre getting all this stuff put on your vette, heads, cam, pulley, etc. -- You might be interested in a dyno-tune. A couple of us may be flying in a guy from FL who will dyno-tune our cars. Brrymnvette on here will know the specifics-- He's in charge. He just let me know about it because he knew I was having a cam put in and would like tuning to go with it. I think they are shooting for sometime in May possibly. Ill keep you updated if you like.
