When my car gets warmed up it starts squeeking like a Bit*H
I know its not the belt.
I just cant figure out what pulley is squeeking my best guess is that its the Idler pulley. Ive taken the belts off and spun the pulleys and I get no squeek at all. :mad :mad

Re: Squeeking sound (ReaLm)
It may very well be the idler(s). There has been a TSB out on them for the '97-'99 (maybe 2000 also?) models for a good while now. The idler pulleys have a thicker dust shield than the old ones and don't deform as much when torqued. The dust shield was making contact with the bearing outer race as I recall. The replacements are now the only ones you can get so no worry about old/new part numbers.
Give Bob or Tom a call at Fichtner Chev. 1-800-234-5284. They'll fix you right up with a pair. :D
BTW, the torque values are the same for both old style and newer style. I think it's 37 lb ft, but I don't have my shop manual here now.
