Default Back in the Saddle Yet Again...

....for history of this issue click away

The good news is that Greg actually came to car this morning, about a 40 minute drive, but made my life much easier and since there wasn't enough ceiling space in the parking garage, towing was out of the option.

I brought a few tools and he brought along a "power bleeder" of sorts that reverse forced fluid thru the system, connecting at the bleeder extension line. Like a smal gun that sucked from the bottle of new fluid and forced it thru the system and into the resevoir. Need to get me one of those :D

So, as of now, she sits in my garage...a little afraid to drive it much at this point for fear of repeating the issue. I have a Mcleod Adjustable Master Cylinder schduled to be delivered tomorrow and it'll be installed on Friday. Greg has a theory as to what happened but as most have said, the causes could be varied but for now, it's back up and running :)

I don't understand why or how the reverse bleeding worked......I'm glad it did. Again, that would not have been possible if it weren't for that external bleeder. Hydraulics.......go figure

I can't see it being the clutch none of the rest of us have had a single prob, did you replace the slave with a late model and do the drill mod, sounds like the same hyd problem I had with the spec and the drill mod pretty much ended that even though it was a first generation spec and not a very good clutch--also even when I had the sticking clutch problem it was only during hard high rpm shifts--I don't know how the bleeder line works but it is possilbe its letting air in the hyd system-

Bill, verified today it was the new Slave so yes, but no on the drill mod, Greg wasn't a believer....

Me either, all I know is it worked and at least got me home and fingers crossed, it'll get me to Greg's on Friday for the install of the Adj. Master Cylinder :)

Barely....but I did drive it from NH to NJ, then a week later from NJ to FL and that was back on Jan 31st

Last Friday I picked her up and drove it home, drove to the track on Sat and made 7-8 passes, then drove home. Took a small cruise at dusk on Sunday then had the sticking clutch happen this Monday, it's now back in the garage waiting for the Master Cylinder to show up today :)

I hope that everything turns out OK for you MG, because you sure deserve some better luck! By the way, what kind of times did it turn at the track, when you took it?

The only diff on yours and ours is the bleeder if this happens again I would question that--I am anxious to hear how you like the adj master it is something I was considering as well just to adj the pedal but it would probably help everything else as well--look forward to some happier post which I'm sure are forthcoming--

Hey Mean Green this is Danny I have the blue vette that Greg has supercharged and now have a few 10 sec runs under my belt. Greg is a good guy and I am sure he will figure it out. Are you going to the vette/viper challange Sun? Good luck to you!!

We met at the corvette challange end of last year. I had the mettalic red supercharged vette with the rollbar you looked at. I have the same car but now its blue with breathless hood, rocker panels and a spoiler. I will be at Gregs Sat. afternoon to lower my radiator and change the super charger intake position.
