That trap just looks so awesome. I'd get the Hybrid that attaches to the stock bridge but still goes behind the front plate area. Any gain over my Vortex or just wasting my money?
The MAF only compensates when tooling around town. When you floor it the computer uses the LTFT (long term fuel trims) and no longer uses the sensors. This is why mods can change the afr at WOT.
FWIW. Something I heard when I toured the C5R plant was a discussion on bottom feaders (air intake) and front feaders. The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) on a engine greatly influenced the total timing and fuel management system at WOT, a bottom feader has a geater area for air than the liscense plate opening or the the front gills and that was why they used that system on their car. They felt the best was a sealed enclosure around the blackwing for a C5 (better than the Vortek)
