COOLFLEX HOSE USERS CHECK IN!!
Just received my coolflex upper hose and I'm getting ready to put it on. There was a post recently where someone went through the full install complete with pics but it doesn't come up when I do a search on it. It looks straight forward but just wanted to find that post again. Also, for the ones who are running these, is there any difference in temps? What posts I did find was on the C4 forum and it was mentioned about concerns over the fact that the Coolflex hose is ribbed, causing the water flow to be less efficient. Personally, I can't imagine this being an issue but just wanting to here from some fellow C5 guys that are running it. Thanks! :cheers:

Found the thread but still want to here from other users. Another concern I just read was the hose blowing off at high pressure. Seems that you want to clean the coupler with alcohol to ensure a greaseless fit. Its tougher to get the hose on but apparently helps in preventing a blowoff.

cool flex is good, but there is a mfg selling stainless at greatly reduced prices,,,the stuff works as well and is not plated , but is poilished stainless.. I have seen it blow off if not installed clean and correctly.. but it has never failed for me, 6 years on my street rod...I dont think it look good on a vette for some reason...each his own...get a street rodder magazine and look in the ads for the stainless version,,,it cheaper...
