Mixing Race Gas
My 2000 A4 knock retards a little and I was going to add some 100 octane
race gas to the tank until it stops retarding. Since the vette has two gas
tanks will the added race gas circulate between the two tanks while you are driving or will it just sit in one tank and not really mix at all

Does it constantly circulate while you drive or just level out ? Say if I pull
up to the pumps and add 2 gallons of race gas would'nt it level from the
bottom of the left tank and not really mix completely ?

"I believe" the fuel system works to drain the right tank first,then fuel is only remaining in the left tank. So if your at half tank or so you should be on the left tank and mixed already.

When I go racing I try to start with around 1/4 tank and then put in 3 or 4 gallons of 104 octane and my car doesn't ping, but if I go with just the 93 it'll ping everytime.
Edit: I guess when my tank is that low it's all in the left tank anyway, I'm not sure what would happen if you had more than 1/2 tank showing when you mixed the race gas???
