Engine code help...
Ok i broke my 99coupe last weekend at the track on the first pass and had to trailer it home cause it would not run. I was thinking that i blew the motor,bent a vavle or push rod. I just got off the phone with my buddy that fixes my cars and he just ran the tech2 on it and the codes were all 8 of the ignitoin coil packs. Does anyone know what might have happened? Any input would be great though. Thanks a bunch guys adam

What a bummer! I have not heard of all the pacs going out at once... :confused: Hope someone here can help; best wishes for a quick recovery and no repeats! :)

i really dont know the exact codes as i had my buddy do it. Is there a control module for the coilpacks? My spelling sucks so no smart @ss remarks k guys....lol thanks adam

Turn the key to start hold down option and press Fuel 4 times. This will put you in diagnostic mode and will tell you the codes. There are some more threads on the subjuect if you do a search for DIC codes. I just learned last weekend.(Thanks Cobra4B)

i would but the cars not at my house. Thats really cool though. Do u guys think that if one coil pack went out that the rest of them would not work right?
