drivin car today everything cool came to light while car was idling a heard a pop sound, as loud as a fire cracker, popping in the exhaust, very random. pulled over immediately and had towed home. broken exhaust valve?

when tow truck arrived i started up and it sounded fine.

tell me if i am wrong but poppin through intake equals intake spring and exhaust equal poppin in exhaust pipes right. can a weak plug cause this. there can only be so many thing what will cause this, what are all the possiblities?

There are a lot of possibilities. Loose plug wire, fouled plug, crack in exhaust, and more that I can't seem to bring up at the moment. Did the DIC throw any codes? Have you tried to pull the codes from the cluster? Most things that would cause this will throw a code.

no ses light - didnt check codes but codes set off the ses right?

Not always, some reset themselves, but are stored in memory.
