Default Need Help Adjusting McLeod Master Cylinder

I had the McLeod adjustable master cylinder installed along with their twin disk clutch. My shop set the engagement point too high for my taste. I want to adjust it to engage about 1/2 or maybe even lower in the pedal travel. Right now it engages at the tippy-top, very end of letting it out.

Simple question... which way to do I turn the "eye". I took down the kick panel, popped off the retaining clip, and screwed the "eye" all the way in. According to "my logic" this would have given me the desired engagement point. However, after going for a spin, nothing seems to have changed. Did I go the wrong way? Do I need to back it out instead?

Edit: Not supposed to be a poll... icons are missing for some reason....?
