Default 3" INTERMEDIATE PIPE to Catback

Anyone running a 3" intermediate pipe to catback with headers and stock H/C? Just wondering what this will do to my torque curve if anything. I am waiting for my TR224 cam to arrive and plan to install a full 3" pipe before the cam install, which won't be for a couple of weeks yet.

Thanks,
Mike :flag

Hey Mikie.....I was wondering the same thing myself. I have Stainless Works headers and I want to add their 3" center section also. I am not sure whether to run cats or not, I am also looking for some feedback from some members on the forum also. I know if I run no cats the car would be extremely loud, so I might end up getting the random tech cats but only after I try it first with no cats.

You can buy the center section with the offroad pipes and RT cats. Install the offroads and see if it's too loud, if so, just undo four clamps and the catback bolts, seperate the tubes, slip in the RT cats, add the O2 sims, clamp it up and go. I have the off road pipes but never installed them.

I'm sure it helps, I have 3' intermediates but didn't do before and after test, but my dyno shows a low 318 rwhp and 315 rwtq. Track performance is where I measure my mods. Great times Mike  I can't wait for my 3.42's to come in.
