Torque Converter Update
It's been 1 month, 3 torque converters and a pound of hair since I described the vibration/shudder coming from the rear of my 1998 A4 convertible. If you recall my problem was occuring between 3000 and 4000 RPM both in gear and neutral. The shudder was more pronounced when I was accelerating/decelerating hard. We tried clocking the converter, per the service manual, and there was no relief, we tried a second Vigilante converter and we were still frustrated. Terry at Precision Industries was equally frustrated and did everything he could to help from a distance. Ultimately, in the true fashion of a Forum Vendor he offered to take back both converters and refund my money, he only wanted me to be satisfied. THANKS TERRY! We ultimately tried a Yank converter that has a beefed up flex plate with 6 attachments. The old flex plate did'nt show any signs of cracks or warpage, but I'm still suspicious. PROBLEM SOLVED FOR NOW. I hope it holds as it's time for the top to get dropped and cruise! :cheers:

PI customer service rocks! I hope you dont have any trouble with the Yank. From my experience, their customer service is NOWHERE neer PI's.
