Last night I installed a Vararam on my '99 coupe and I can definitely feel the difference between it and the K&N FIPK setup I had. The major difference is when the car shifts gears. Before, I could feel the car was lacking some low end torque after it shifts, but now there is power throughout the whole rpm range and the car just pulls alot harder at speed. Other than the questionable fit and finish of the Vararam itself and shotty instructions (I think the Quality Control department took the month off), I am happy with it. I'm going to the track this weekend and we'll see if it puts me in the 12's and at least 110mph. :reddevil
If anyone is considering this mod, I would highly recommend it and I got mine from Exit 28 for $310 shipped.

The quality of the fit/finish is a bit lacking, but really once it's in, it looks better than it does out of the box. Performance wise, I couldn't be happier with mine.
My 99a4 is doing 12.6 - 12.7 with a bunch of bolt on's and a twin flo. I get my Vararam next week. I'll post the new time after the next Corvette Challenge. I might go with a set of Kooks headers and cats also. that should get me into the 11 sec club.....Go Vararam!!! :smiliedrool:
damn, that pic in your sig is badazz!!! how did you get that shine? thats the most increadible pic i think i've ever seen.
Thanks! I'm really not sure how it turned out so well. It was just taken with a digital camera at night. I am by no means a photographer, but I guess people just get lucky sometimes. :yesnod: That was even taken before my many coats of Zaino.
I had mine installed in march while it was still cold out. I also had headers and an LS6 manifold bolted on at the same time. The car LOVES running the ram system in the colder weather.

the pic is just increadible! i'm going to make it my wallpaper on my computer.
I agree with the original post. The Vararam instructions SU#K! The tech department is good but the instructions are really lame. It took some work to get the fog lights to fit correctly in the cut-outs.
