Last night we installed Exedy's new single disk clutch in a H/C (442 RWHP) car. Extremely happy with the quality of the components and the final
results where positive. The clutch engages very smooth and doesn't make any noise. We replaced all of the hydraulics at the same time to stock components.
The kit comes with a new lightened steel flywheel, billet pressure plate, and a clean looking disk.
Pedal feel is stiff and positive but nice! :yesnod: I believe the single has a 3500+ lb clamping force.
I will update as we get some miles on it. Next week we are installing the dual disk. That's the one I want to see!
Re: Feedback on Exedy single disk......... (9D9LS1)
How bad is the pedal pressure compared to stock? How about aftermarket? (Cartek etc). I have an old Cartek, and an Exedy single waiting to go in, I wonder how bad the pedal is compared to the cartek.
Pedal feel is stiffer then stock, no surprise, but not crazy. You really can't kill the pedal feel with hydraulics. I should say that the pedal is more postive feeling then stock.
Re: Feedback on Exedy single disk......... (9D9LS1)
I bet the pedal pressure is about the same on my dual as on the single--I thought you would love this clutch and after some seat time I think you will be even more impressed-I think the single is perfect for the H/C cars and the double will be more than adequate for the strokers and FI cars--I dont think they have a sprung hub model in the 3 disk version and I'm sure that is an all or nothing clutch for sure--
