1999 C5 rear gear ratio change
Hello, I have changed my rear gear ratio from a 342 to a 373. Is their any computer programer out there that will reprogram my ecu to work with this new gear ratio? I tried Hyper tecth with no luck. This unit only has the program to deal with 273 to a 342. Nothing for any other gear ratio's is in the programer. My speed is really off. Need help. Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Speed should be correct, the vss(vehicle speed sensor)is located on the rear axle, after the ring and pinion so changing ratios doesnt effect your speedometer. Changing tire diameter , on the other hand will...
Speed is not affected by differential ratio in a C5, If you have an Auto though you will need to reprogram transmission, for sure this is available in LS1 edit.
LS1 edit is the way to go. You'll have complete flexibility and control over everything from shift points (rpm) to air/fuel mixtures.
Tire diameter is what determines the speedo. Gear change will not affect the speedo.

:iagree:
If your car is an automatic then you'll need to program new shift points, if it's a 6 speed then no programming is required.

If you go with predator you may have to have brian at diablo sport email you atune to fix shift points, with stock predator tune i hit rev limitor at wot shifts and thought trans was going to twist something off it shifted so hard but the new tune fixed all.
