Okay, my car has a head and cam package...not sure the configuration as I bought the car from a third party. I know all the work was done by South Florida Performance in Miami, but after countless emails, they have not replied. I spoke to the previous owner and he was very nice, but was not sure what all was done to the car. He said he would drop it off and pick it up when ready. Basically, lots of money and wanted a fast toy-he rarely drove the car.
Anyway, currently my check engine light is on and the tac is not working. The tac kicks in when the key is turned, but will not move after that...doesn't show in the HUD either.
I did the press options hit fuel thing and this is what I got:
 What do all these codes mean?? Is my car dying?? I hear some nasty exhaust leakage and it looks as though the headers (BPP) have a coupleof small dents right where the connecting couplers are...should I just weld them together?
The car is a 2002 ZO6...needless to say, with all the motorwork, warranty work is out of the question.
Once the IPC has displayed all 11 modules, the system goes into the manual mode, which allows selection of each module, using combinations of DIC buttons. The manual mode can also be entered at any time during the automatic sequence by pressing any button except "E/M". Once the IPC displays "manual diagnostics", you may select a particular module by pressing the options button to go forward or the "trip" button to go back. Once a system is selected and a DTC is displayed, if more than one are present; press "gages" To move forward or "fuel" to go back. To exit the diagnostic mode at any time, press E/M". If you want to erase or "clear" codes, press "reset". Clearing a code does not repair a problem. You are simply erasing the evidence of it in the module's memory.
clear out all the faults.the only 2 that should come back are the fan control and engine speed faults.did anybody do a fan control mod?the tach fault can be anything from a pcm to a cluster.the pcm knows it is seeing the rpm input, but knows the voltage is not changing at the cluster[no tach].
Yes, the car has had a fan control mod...there is a small metal piece about 2 inches long that is just stick in the radiator ribs and it has a wire attached to it...looks like the relay that sends the temp to the PCM.
I just had that P0654, it has to do w/ the tach not working, I got pissed and just smacked my dash and BANG!!! tach came back to life and code stopped coming up, must of been a lose wire or something under there :smash:
