need help now...please assist
I have an appointment today at norris motorsport up in orlando to get a cam installed...its a 2 hours drive one way...it will cost $1275...or i can take it to my GM mechanic who does this on the side and get it installed here for $975. Both are going to do dyno tuning. Should i trust my GM mechanic and save the 8 hours worth of driving 2 times out to orlando + the $300, as i am moving this weekend up to tallahassee? I have a friend who would be giving me a ride back to tampa from orlando and i would obviously be paying for gas and food for him as well. please give thoughts.

If your mechanic's work, and personality, are to your satisfaction, go with him. He'll be around if there are any problems, and you already have a history with him.

You know the GM mechanic and he has worked on your car before.I would think you know him well enough to work on your car,and I am assuming you were satisfied with his work,why not let him do the installation and save all the time and money.It sounds like it would be a lot easier and you wouldn't be bothering your friend. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy
