Default Friday - May 14th - Laguna Seca Raceway

For those of you interested in getting your cars onto the race track, Driving Concepts ( http://www.drivingconcepts.com ) is holding a High Performance Driving School at Laguna Seca Raceway (near Monterey, California) on Friday the 14th of May. From their email ....

======================================== =

Big news first: Driving Concepts has the day at Laguna Seca on Friday, May 14th!!!!!!!

As you know, these dates are hard to come by and we are excited!! Drive at Laguna Seca on Friday and either drive home on Saturday ....or spend the weekend in beautiful Monterey/Carmel - what could be better than that!

As most of you know, Driving Concepts is a unique organization specializing in one-on-one in car instruction at our high performance driving events. We keep our events small to maximize track time and personalized attention by the staff. If you have been out there 'getting track time' and keep making the same mistakes - try this school and see what a difference it can make in your future time spent on the track. Novice drivers are always welcome at our events. There will be two run groups so you and a significant other or friend can share a car and both have a great learning experience and lots of fun!!

======================================

I'll also be posting this to the Z06 forum.

Thanks,

Steve

The cost for the day including track time, instruction and catered lunch is $525. One caveat - the db (sound) level will be 90 db - and will be strictly enforced by the SCRAMP monitoring devices so I would recommend street cars with appropriate mufflers in place!!

Well,

I may be flunking here at school but at least I live near Laguna SECA. I have no intention of driving in the event but do you think I can drive to the event and observe. I really don't have $500 floating around. I will probably attend just to meet a few other Vette guys. Thanks for the heads up.

Sure you can come out. You'll have to pay the park entry fee (maybe) which I think is $5.00, though there's a good chance the ranger won't be there on a weekday.

Also, if you come, you can talk with the folks that run Driving Concepts, and they'll loan you a helmet and give you a ride for several laps on the track. No charge.

Look for me, a black Z06, I'll definately be there.
