The aftermarket TC is aimed more at drag racing to improve off the line performance. I will go with the Transgo and no programming for starters as I am almost 100 percent street use. I want the improved shifting feel. LS1 Edit can be used to modify shift points and the rev limiter (and other engine performance items). Higher rear end rations (mine is stock 2.73) will improve performance even more. I guess the answer is you can do as much as you want or can afford. One step at a time.

Who is doing the install/ I heard they are great, but you have to know someone who has experience installing these kits. I know of no one in all of Dallas on this forum with a Shift Kit on their C5, if I did and they had a good installer, it would be on my car

I have the Transgo Kit and the LS-E1 Edit also.If I were to do it again,I would use just the LS E1-Edit.I believe the LsE1 Edit will do all the things the Transgo kit will do,and you are paying double for the same end result. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

I have a Transgo Shift kit in my 2000 C-5. I use the Predtor and got a custom tune from "James". I have not had any problems so far. I also have a Black Wing and Corsa Exhaust with the X-Pipe. Some people are concerned about TM but I don't see it as a problem since mine is currently turned off.
