just what the title says. spent $ 1200.00 on a header and x-pipe 2 weeks ago, ran the car today at LACR. all runs were slower than before the install, MPH was slower too. i must add that today was pretty hot. why do you think it's slower?
MPH befor install 101.80 after 99.70. 60 ft is about the same 2.05 at best. and yes, thay are JBAs, i had to get one that's CARB exempted. X-pipe is MAgnaflow
Well maybe you need tuning... to be honest I'd never waste my time w/ shorties or an x-pipe. They don't do much if anyting. X-pipes don't help, they change the sound. Heat makes a huge difference too.
:iagree: You should get your engine tuned after those parts were installed. I received an additional 40 hp/tq after a dyno-tune right after installing my LT headers. The hot temperatures and lack of a good tune could cause the poor performance you're experiencing.
Since we are relatively local to you and can sort out any issues we find, why not bring the car by and have us throw it on the rollers, do a few dyno runs, and determine if it needs tuning?
Please feel free to contact us and ask for Al or Shawn – we install and tune everything we sell and stand behind our work -

Were you at the Corvette Challenge this weekend? If so did you compare wiht other drivers? Weather could be a big factor. I too think you might benefit from some tuning.
