Default APE 408 Dyno results

The car made 503.8 RWHP and 486 TQ. I am very happy with the results and would like to thank all who were involved.
APE for the 408 short block, i believe it was refered to as a very efficient motor without alot of pumping losses by the Tuner
Absolute speed for the S3 6.0 head and cam combo.
Eastside Performance for the tune, Thanks Kevin.
And lastly Howard "9D9LS1" from REDLINE MOTORSPORTS in schenectady for the great install and assembly of the combo. The best part about the install was he really never got to test drive or really even hear it run before i put on the trailer and sent it to the DYNO due to the 90MM TB and intake. Once she had a base tune in her to get it running it ran flawless without a single problem. How is that for RELIABILITY......Thanks again guys.
JOHN :p:
The actual HP #'s were 518 RWHP and 497 TQ. Sorry i just had to post them to...

John,

Keep putting some miles on it so we can hit the track! 10.70's shouldn't be a problem!

Once you get used to the new motor we'll reattach the spray and see if those 9's you are looking for are there!

I don't normally like to let them leave without driving them but that LSX/90 setup wasn't going anywhere without a base tuning to get it to idle. I am glad to know Kevin at Eastside Performance knows how to get the 90mm TB's to work!

Where's that Supra that you wanted to crush??

Thanks for the report. Sounds like a awesome package.

A couple of questions:

Did you have to upgrade the injecters?

What cam did you use?

The injetors are 30# and they are at 95%. The cam is 244 248 ,595 615. The tuner said there was a restriction in the air flow in front of the TB so i could probably pick up a few more HP if i take care of that. The motor also only had 7mi on it before the dyno same with the clutch. The headers are LG motorsports and maybe a restriction also due to the larger cubes. :seeya

My 408 stroker short block is being built as we speak. Very nice #'s. Did you use 6.0 CI block? What is your CR? Are you using a 99 MAF?

My build up will be pretty much a twin to yours. How is the low end torque with that cam. Does it have big lope? I have a MTI R1 232 236 .575 .578 112 cam reddy to go into St 3 6.0 heads. I'm wondering if I should go larger? Are you running 3.90 or 4.10's?

Anyway glad to see things went like clock work.

Yes it is a 6.0l iron block. The maf is a 80mm granettelli I have the uncalibrated 85mm ls6 maf with the adapter but couldnt get it to fit with my Vararam. I didnt have time to fabricate something so i went with what i had. However i will be changing it in the future.
As far as the idle, it sounds awesome. it has lope that is for sure. I would go bigger with your cam. IMHO The CR is between 11.7 and 11.8.
The TQ at 3500 RPM is 400 :seeya
