Coil-over shock discussion.....

Phillip
We already do this with Qa1 shocks. It is not as easy as it might seem. The normal poly bushings will pound out in a short time. So we use a spherical bearing set up. We have special sperical brgs for both the top and bottom. You cannot use the standard "bayonet" style mount on the top. Mainly due to the rubber in the front, but because the shock has to be relocated in the rear to clear everything.
Then in the rear, special relocating mounts have to be built to keep the spring from hitting the tie rod, and CV joint boot.
Then there is the lower rear "U" shaped mount that has to be adapted to the shock bottom.
So there is more than meets the eye or a high quality Coil over using QA1s would already be readily available from many outlets.
Having said that, we do all of the above and we do make a proper direct bolt in coil over set up using the Qa1 shocks, or using Bilstein aluminum shocks.
All of the above issues with the Corvette shock mounting rais the price significantly. Our full packge with Hypercoil springs cost $2195 per set complete with all mounts and hardware and your choice of spring rates , or choose from our spring testing.
Thanks.

See photo below. We do not use the same front lower mount as shown. We have redesigned them.
