Default ok i had enough

im gettin sick of workin on this car!! cant seem to get done. the patriot heads are back on. just finished with the lg long tube header install. still cant find a good way to route the wires for the o2 sims. the bell house bolts dont line up on one side no matter what i do. caravggio seats comin in tomorrow and still screwin around with the nitrous wiring. and to top it off im missing the coolant plug bolts for the heads so i cany put my intake on till those show up. plus the weathers nice here finally and i havent had this car back together since last november, so im gettin itchy to drive it. with all the winter mods i did, the first start is gonna be a nail bitter.ok im done rantin for today. may be more rants tomorrow.

:iagree: I would take a very good look at those heads before going to the trouble to install them-runamuk is not the only horror story by any means--

I just started the Cam and UD pulley install on my car last night. My car has been down for 5 weeks I can imagine being down for 5 months. Right now my garage looks like a surgery suite and the wife's car is stuck in the drive way. Therefore I have motivation to get it done it is called continued domestic bliss. I would be working on it tonight but it is our anniversary. You should have seen the look I got when I told her I was planning on working on the car tonight. OUCH!

Come on Pat, I was down for 6 months. Got almost 1k miles on my heads now, no problems yet, other than that nasty tire shredding problem

I know exactley how you feel 3 months without driving mine did heads and cam swap motor blew sent. Delays with getting heads and cam for new motor. Delay with motor all adds up to 3 months and still waiting to top it off its my daily driver so it really makes it hard. Motor was supposed to be in this week  I also had to put new rear end differential on, Z06 rear brake ducts, shift light, piaas, front brake ducts, new rotors, pads etc etc I am so tired off working on the car and getting no reward and paying a car payment and not being able to drive :mad :mad  Hang in there it will get better when we are done we will look back and laugh

I feel for you. I once had a 2000 Mustang GT that had work, work, work, work...I think it was broken (although, yours isn't broken...rather being fixed for the better) more than it was driveable. Brought me many of sad nights.

Hope all goes well for you on startup, best wishes, and you'll have a screamer and a big S***eating grin on your face from ear-to-ear when you get it up and running. :D

I know exactly what your going thru, my car was down for 4 months and when I'd get it running something else would happen, BTW thanks for buying my drag package that helped buy me a replacement transmission and also helped keep me out of the dog house :bb

BTW, I met Terry in person and he was a nice person, he promised to solve my problem but I don't know what happened, I guess he figured if he just gave me another set of heads that I'd go away and the only sour part of the deal was waiting 3 weeks all the while expecting heads with the correct spark plug holes atleast I didn't drop a valve seat :mad
