Just drove home with the Exedy Twin....WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! no more Spec 3 chattering or loud "box of empty bottles" noises...even on cold startup. This clutch has about 1/3 more pedal pressure, but is very comfortable, very well balanced and extremely smooth....right out of the box. This is the clutch for high HP cars. IMO the Spec 3 is not well engineered and performs poorly.
Re: Exedy Twin Disk Clutch installed..... (blktie8)
We knew all of you would like the feel and performance of this clutch assy. when installed in a HP application, that's why we hosted that GP so that everyone could get one that needed it to see what we were so pumped up about.. :hurray:
Happy racing to all and have a good weekend!
Re: Exedy Twin Disk Clutch installed..... (Ryan2002C5)
Just installed mine a couple of days ago with the new motor. I only have 30 miles on it. It is very postive feeling and lets you know when its engaged. It is very sticky feeling, which I hope will ease up with break in time. I seem to have to let it engage between 1800-2000 for it to smoothly engage, something I was used to doing with my previous clutch setup.
Other then that it is a nice piece of engineering.

This is exactly how my Exedy Hyper Single feels! Thanks Phil! No more clutch problems!
Re: Exedy Twin Disk Clutch installed..... (Mike Siska)
Where can I get one? How much? This is exactly what I've been looking for. I was torn between Z06 clutch and aftermarket set up. I'll be pushing 420 at the wheels and didn't want all the chatter.
Re: Exedy Twin Disk Clutch installed..... (West Coast Corvette)
We also carry them and we were the first and only tuner to host a public GP for these new clutch assy.'s. after they were first relesed, plus we have had prior experience with them. :) Give us a call if we can be of assistance.
Re: Exedy Twin Disk Clutch installed..... (HIGHRPM)
This is my next mod - thanks for the review. My stock 01 clutch can't handle the power in my car and it's no where near what some of you guys are running
