I have made a few simple mods since I bought my car last year. Only performance mods I have made are the Corsa Pace Car exhaust, Granatelli MAF Sensor, 170 stat, Vortex Rammer Air Induction system. I am looking at chaning the throttle body out as well soon, and that will probably be it for now. Not looking to set the streets a blaze but wanted a few performance modifications to improve performance.
With the noted modifications would it make sense to take the car to a tuner and have the programming checked / changed for optimum performance or would that be a waste of money. Secondly, could I accomplish the same thing with the limited mods by buying a Power Programmer or similiar programming changer and suffice. IF so, which would you folks recommend as the one to purchase for this purpose. Thanks in advance.
Re: Tuning/Programming with Minor Mods..Need Advise (Boys & Their Toys)
My 2 cents: first put the stock MAF back on. Next purchase a scanner, LS1 edit and a wideband. Now you can begin learning how to tune your car. With so few mods this would be a great point for you to begin. Not to many complications in the current setup therefore a nice place to start.

save your money on programmers and scanning tools at this point. Instead, spend your money on more potent mods. Your current mods have not changed much in the way of needing expensive tuning programs. Never buy a Hypertech Power Programmer- total waste of money with Edit and HP TUners out there for a few bucks more.
