Question regarding LS6 Heads Casting #'s
Is the 243 and the Liter "stamp" in the LS6 casting the only identification in matching Heads to a Vin? Or are the heads specifically stamped to match the Vin as well?
Was wondering, as I wasn't sure how this all worked...And am wondering if to keep numbers matching heads, I need my specific heads (of which there would be a full Vin Stamp in the head??) , or if any LS6 5.7L #243-stamped head that's out there is technically matching?
Help me get my head on straight, will you guys? Thanks.

Ive never seen a vin on my heads when they were off the car....there was a scan tag decal,but i dont think it has anything to do with a vin....243 and you're good to go ....Wash
