I have Stepped/Jammed on em ****'s brakes and I can't never lock em up or get the ABS to kick in. I have driven other cars w/ ABS and my current daily driver (a Jeep) tell me when the ABS takes over.
Maybe I am not being aggresive enought, but I have "stepped" on them brakes hard at about 50+ and not get an ABS bite.... The car stops straight ahead w/o heistation and no swiveling, but "should" swing some... RIGHT!!!?
I always try out ABS on wet or sandy roads. With these the ABS should come very fast.
But you also should feel it when entering a highway in a long curve, just pushing brake a little bit. Then you can feel the pulsating pedal.......if you are sensitive enough :D
