I wanted to get mine reringed, but I didn't trust any of the dealers here, and then I was outta warranty. :mad

Mine seems to come on at even less than 1qt low.
Last time I changed the oil, I only had 6qts left in the garage...so since the car's supposed to take 6.5, I added the 6qts I had, and went to get more the following day. I got the "low oil level" message then, and was (what I thought) only missing a half qt. I just added the full qt since I got that message, as I always thought it came on at 1qt low. :confused:

I checked mine when changing oil (while filling it up), warning comes on when 1 quart low.

Ours comes on at about 1 quart low. Always has. Unfortunately I got used to the message until the car was re-ringed.

My '01 came on at 1/2 quart low! Go figure!
It was at the Shivvy dealer for something else and they called and told me the light came on (instead of putting in a quart and charging me $10 :lol: ). I poured in a half quart, drove home, light never came on in the 3 miles, let her set, checked it--spot on! :confused:
Who knows? Oil sensor's apparently no more accurate than either of my sets of tire pressure sensors. :lol:
