couple of codes to decipher
ever since i got my car a week ago, the 'check engine' light likes to come on intermittantly (more on than off :rolleyes: ). the engine was just replaced under warranty so i'm going to take it back to the dealership. i figure this should be something that should have showed up when the work was done but it took ~50 miles after the car was out of the dealership before the light showed up.
anyway, the codes that come up on the PCM are P0153, P1103 and P1153. anybody know what these are? if it's something really stupid, i'd just as soon fix it myself rather than letting some monkey at the local dealership jack with my car for a few days.

How many miles do you have on the car? Sounds like you have Oxygen sensor problems which will mean $$$$$$$$$$$ out of you pocket! Take it back and make them replace it!

correction, the first code is a P0133. either way, the car is in the dealership now.
you know, it seems stupid that they charge $50 to transfer the warranty from one owner to the next. the reason i say that is simple. now that i'm going to pay $50 to transfer this warranty, any time i hear so much as a squeak or groan from anything, i'm taking it back in. hell, if i gotta pay my $50, i'm going to get my money out of it.
the thing that sucks is the car just runs like a raped ape. i hate that i have to send it in before i even get it registered. guess that's just the way things go though. i'll post results when i hear from the dealership.
