Well now that Kook's has made a major splash into the C5 market, we felt the need to reevaluate the one issue that needs addressing with our C5 header and exhaust products. How do you improve on headers that have proven themselves countless times on the fastest C5 's in the country? YOU MAKE THEM EASIER TO INSTALL! Being that this is the only gripe, we took the time to make some very subtle changes to the primary tube routing to help ease the installation. These changes are barely noticable by eye but will be noticable during the install process. We hope this will give those contemplating a Kook's purchase another great reason to go Kook's. We really appreciate all the C5 business we've gotten in the past few month's. Our Corvette header and exhaust sales are starting to climax our Mustang header sales. To put that into perspective, we manufacture over 125 different headers for 1979 through 2004 Mustangs. Our C5 sales are now running neck and neck. We have you to thank for that. As always, if I can be of any help or if any questions need answering please feel free to call
The first set or 2 we installed we did make up a few new swear words :D but after a few you learn a bunch of little tricks and now they are pretty easy. Looking foward to trying the new design. Congrats on your success in the C5 market..
Cool! Does that mean that my headers will have this update? They were purchased through the CorvetteGarage GP and according to Nate are expected to ship out to me next week.
Nick, what installation steps will be eliminated? No more engine jacking?

Hope so, this was the primary reason I lowered them on my buy list for later this summer. Good to see this was a recognized issue and may be addressed.
Re: Kook's Improves On Perfection (nick filippides)
Nick: just got my headers installed, really like them. Your improvements came a little late for my mechanic; by the way, he did a wonderful job. If you need a referral installer in the Chicagoland area, I would highly recommend Rick at Rick Anthony Motorsports; he can be reached at RCesak@aol.com and is a frequent poster on the forum.
BTW I have really enjoyed the silliness in the posts over which headers are "best"; for my .02, considering price, quality, reputation, etc., I like your stuff; I am sure that LG is a fine product as well as all the others. Competition is a good thing.
Re: Kook's Improves On Perfection (nick filippides)
My 6-speed 'vert was fairly quick at 11.4s with LS1 heads and a 'baby' cam (relatively speaking :D ). I went to KOOKS 1 7/8" headers and 3" pipes and I'm now flirting with the 10s (11.1s and 125+MPH traps on drag radials in 70*+ weather.)
Brent, I'm sure your new 1-7/8 Kook's headers will continue to impress. Thanks for the props. The changes we made will allow the headers to slide into position easier after the engines been raised. Raising the engine isn't difficult, coaxing the headers in was, but no longer. We also revised our installation instruction sheet to simplify things for the "do it yourselfer". All headers that have been shipped these last couple of weeks have the update. I'm here if you have further questions. Thanks Nick "kook's headers"
