How do you test wires to determine if they need to be changed ? OR,
do most use time and mileage basis ?
I have a stock 2K with 45K miles, still runs smooth, but I'm a big believer in preventitive maint.
SHOULD I CHANGE PLUG WIRES NOW ?? ( and plugs ) or would I be wizzing money out the exhaust ?

I'd change the plugs if they are Delco because they are probably missing some of the platinum inserts on the bottom elctrode. If you can get a hold of a VOM you can check the reistance on the ignition wires. If they are less than 700 ohms and have a good mechanical appearance it's a waste of money to change them.

the stock plugs should be good for at least 100k miles. maybe you've noticed they are only 3-4 inches long, not like most cars where they are 12 inches or longer. They are pretty strong OEM equipment, so don't sweat them. if you are doing some preventive maintenance, change out your plugs for some NGK 55's http://www.ngk.com part number is TR55. :)
