I am in the process of looking for new set of spark plug wire. My car currently have 8,500 miles. I am not sure if I should go with MSD 8.5 mm or Taylor 10.5mm. I currently have NGK Iridium spark plug and K & N air charger. Thank You in advance for any help.
Spark plug wires are NOT going to put you into the 10 second bracket. If your wires are in good shape I doubt if you will see any HP or torque changes at all. On the other hand If you have BAD wires, changing them out with better wires will make a difference.
Check your wires with an OHM Meter. they should read around 300-400 ohms. If they are greater than about 500-600 OHMS or the outer jacket is damaged, they are about ready for replacement!
If they are in the MEG OHM range, GET NEW WIRES!
I would purchase wires that can use the STOCK HEAT shields. :yesnod: They seem to last longer unless you use heat socks. I used MAGNACORES and they seem to work fine.
