Poor performance or normal!?!?
I just bought a 97 AT, When I accelerate, unless I pound on the pedal, it seems to just whine and not jolt me forward... I used to have a 99 Camaro SS, and when I barely stepped on that, it jolted me forward.... The C5 seems to have a huge hesitation and it seems like its not nearly as strong as my SS... is it the gearing of the C5 that is making me think its got a problem or is this normal? or what? PLEASE HELP!! Should I take it in and get it tuned and service my fuel injection first to see if that is it? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I don't rightly know.. I imagine stock 97 A4? Is there variance in the gearing in that year? I don't know much about these things... I am new to all this...

I don't have a sticker in glove box.. should there be? I have no sticker anywhere with any codes... did the previous owner take that off/out? how do I check other wise?

Have someone else with an A4 take it for a spin and see if that's normal. Or take it to the track. I can assure you there is no hesitation in mine (M6).
