What do you guys think is best to use for a new header install (LG's btw), the ARP header studs (is there enough clearance?), Stage 8, or the Breslin bolts? The Stage 8's look like they will be a PITA to get the clips on. Want to do it right the first time and not have them back out. :D
I'm doing a header install Monday, and will use Stage 8 bolts, will let you know how it goes but I think it's the best for me. I've retorqued too many header bolts over the years, even if these are a pain to put on I don't think I'll have to mess with them..... will re-torque after a couple of heat cycles.
I installed the ARP studs when I installed my L.G. Motorsports Long-Tube Pro headers. They work beautifully!!!! Once they were tight, they have never needed to be retightened. They make the alignment of the gasket and header very easy.
At installation tip: Install ONLY the rear stud on each bank before you deck the L.G. headers. After the headers are loosely in the car, install the remaining 10 studs. I used anti-seize on the threads of both ends of the studs.
