My fuel gage had been going nuts and I read here to use Chevron with Techron. After the first tank of gas with it the fuel gage started working properly. So it is good for other things than fuel injectors. I will make a point to use it at least every oil change.
:iagree: After 21k miles, my fuel gage started reacting slowly to show the correct amount. I used the Valvoline fuel injector cleaner, and it seemed to help. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to give it another treatment before going on a maintainance schedule. A $5 bottle of FI cleaner is a lot cheaper than fuel system R&R work, and a lot of guys have reported success.
Does that mean using Chevron gas is overkill. Am I better off using the Chevron fuel every 3rd fill up & other brands for the other 2 fill ups.
WE are taslking about a fuel system additive here... buy it at pep boys, they have a 16 ouncer and a 20 ouncer... we are Not talking about Chevron gas.... read the freeking topic... we are talking about injector cleaner...

after every oil change????? thats about 3 to five thousand miles.. thats way too much... once every 20/25,000 miles... More is Not better...
Read the topic, but as you know Chevron gas contains techron & some people do use it occassionally to clean the injectors. I was just asking if using it every fillup is good for it or should it be used occassionally.
