Default Checking Intake for OIL

I have been reading about KR and several folks on the LS1.com have said to check the back of the throttle blade for oil. But since the Camaro has a cable TB and ours are drive by wire, is it possible to manually open the throttle blade or will I have to pull the TB. Also I have never had an oil consumption issue with the car. Thanx, Jeff

You can push the throttle blade open with a finger. I recently had mine out for porting and did this. Some place in the system there is a spring that bias's the throttle blade towards closed.

Wow! I just posted here with an oil in the manifold problem I'm having on a LS6.

Tell me more about what you have been reading or supply the link.

P.S. Yes you can push the throttle blade open, it takes a little pressure though. :chevy

Thanks in Advance

Go to Ls1.com and register then search in the tech archive for oil and intake or Knock retard. If you don't register the archive appears empty, the site is primarily F-body guys but most of the info is applicable to our Vettes. Good Luck, Jeff
