Default Are there too many different C5 sections?

Since the last split of the C5 section, I find myself loosing a little interest in this forum. It requires scanning to many sections to find info and it seems to have broken up the C5 community a little. You can't help but notice forum participation is way down.

What do you think?

I agree if they want a seperate tech section than put the oil change and general repair questions etc in general discussion and leave tech for questions and info on things being added to enhance the car even if its about radiators to help the car run cooler as well as things to improve handling, braking, performance in general--I don't care for the new perf results section it seems it was incorporated to keep the heated discussions from offending the lloyd mats guys

I actually prefer Sunoco 94 for my C5....

Whoops I'm sorry! I thought this was the C5 Fuel Preference Section

Seriously - I liked it before the changes.

You should have seen it back in the beginning. We had 1 section. What we have today is what I call "Organized Chaos"...probably necessary in some way, but a lot of it doesn't follow "parallel construction" as you might encounter in a high school writing class. Going back to the beginning and starting with a good outline would solve many of the problems and promote participation. It's a lot like a small city that has no master plan, but is growing faster than the infrastructure can handle. Any good English teachers out there?

The number of sections isnt the problem. Its people asking the same questions over and over. Each section would be smaller if people would do a search first for the common topics and looked up info where available instead of waiting for someone else to answer.

The problem isn't the abundance of categories, but, rather: the incorrect use of the forums and the abundance of redundant questions. JMHO.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the C5 Perf. Results section. Things were much better before.

I think we need more, lets get so specific that the mods will have to quit their day jobs (if they haven't already) just so they have the time to tell people how stupid they are for posting in the wrong section and not searching. Since, the wonderful software this board runs on has such a reliable search feature.

We could make it easy and break it into the 2 classes that all the post fall under already:

C5 interesting section
C5 boring section

that pretty well somes it up doesn't it
