The C5 forums have been completely dead in the last month , the slowest I've ever seen it .

I will have to agree also with too many sections. I tend to look at only the Tech section, which where my interest was and only the other ones for specific reasons (to find parts or to search for answers).

I think we need more, lets get so specific that the mods will have to quit their day jobs (if they haven't already) just so they have the time to tell people how stupid they are for posting in the wrong section and not searching. Since, the wonderful software this board runs on has such a reliable search feature.

As evidenced by the location of this thread......

MG,

Correct, there are so many different sections I had no clue where to post it ?
Yeah...I know what ya mean, common sense and all

Seems to me most people wouldn't post a thread about forum structure or management in any section supposedly dedicated to technical issues relating to the C5, but hey, I'm just a hotel guest

I knew this would come up and its total BS--Cartek has always maintained a larger inventory of used tail pipes and if you do a search you will find that their used tailpipes avg 8 more rwhp than the ones at VD's-

In the beginning we had 1 section and everybody was talking... man that section went FAST!! One had to scan 2 pages just to keep up. As the production of the C5 went by and more owners arrived to the site, sections for the C5 were needed. I believe we have too many now and it is hard to know just where to post something at times.

As for the slowdown of the C5 section... Just take a look at the C6 section and you will see all the old C5 members over talking about how they want and need to know all about the C6 (just like they did with the C5)

They have jumped ship for the new model... For them it is all about having to buy or know about the newest thing on the block... as for me, I could care less about the C6 because I already have a Corvette that has a new paint job, engine, transmission, diff, brakes, tires, wheels and a complete new interior. I guess you can say I am starting off again with a new 99!

I'm with you on that one Steve, talk about taking a lump selling a mod you no longer need, for the guys in this section selling their cars is selling one big mod and that is a hard lump to swallow at half price--in 2007 if they come out with the zo6 with 3 valve heads on a 427 it would be interesting to look into and I will have absorbed the bulk of this lump by then so who knows, but no time soon---

I would perfer to rename the 'C5 Perf Results' section to something 'Sponcer Products'. In this section all the sponcers can list new products and/or current deals. Afterall, the only reason that you would want to brag about the products performance is to sell it. Right Plus this would eliminate all the sales ads in the other sections. Just my $0.02
